FlexAlarm Pro™

Alarms and reliability

My alarm did not ring, or rang late

Phone settings can stop an alarm. Check these in order; the exact wording differs by phone maker.

  1. Notifications are allowed. Phone Settings → Apps → FlexAlarm Pro → Notifications: on. The app cannot show the ringing screen if notifications are blocked. On Android™ 14 and newer, also allow "Full-screen notifications" for the app.
  2. Alarms and reminders. If your phone lists "Alarms and reminders" under Special app access, make sure FlexAlarm Pro is allowed.
  3. Battery optimisation is off for the app. Settings → Apps → FlexAlarm Pro → Battery: choose "Unrestricted" (or "Don't optimise"). Some phones add their own "sleeping apps", "app launch" or "auto-start" controls; make sure the app is allowed there too.
  4. Do not force-stop the app or let a "clean up" tool kill it. An alarm cannot ring from an app the system was told to stop. Closing it normally is fine.
  5. Do Not Disturb. Make sure alarms are allowed in your phone's Do Not Disturb settings. The app's "Alert during Do Not Disturb" option lets the ringing screen show while Do Not Disturb is on, but whether the alarm makes a sound still follows your phone's settings.
  6. Volume. Alarms use the phone's alarm volume, which is separate from media and ringer volume. Check it is up.
  7. Time and date. Make sure the phone's automatic date, time and time zone are on. After a time-zone change, open the app once.

If the alarm still fails, email us with your phone model, Android version, the app version (shown in your phone's app info), the alarm's settings and the time it should have rung.

Does the app need the internet?

No. Alarms and settings work with no connection. Buying, and checking the purchase, go through Google Play and need a connection at that moment.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-in and nothing to register. Your alarms are stored on your phone.

Where is my data, and how do I delete it?

The app keeps your alarms and settings in its private storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in Settings → Apps → FlexAlarm Pro → Storage, deletes that storage. Google Play services also keeps a small record of the trial; clearing storage does not delete it, and while Android backup is on, uninstalling does not delete it either. If you use device backup on Android, a copy of your alarms and settings may also be in your own Google account; you manage that from your device's backup settings. We do not hold a copy of any of this. We may hold messages you send us and order records supplied by Google Play. Retention and deletion are explained in the privacy policy.

Why does the app not ask for photo permission?

It uses the Android photo picker, which lets you choose one picture at a time without giving the app access to your whole gallery. The chosen picture is cropped and copied into the app's private storage; the original is untouched.

FlexTimer Pro is not on Google Play yet. Its app page and privacy policy are already here, and questions are welcome at support@rejectedaltsstudios.com.

Trial, purchase and refunds

Paying once

How does the 14-day trial work in FlexAlarm Pro?

Every feature is free for 14 days from the first time you open the app. No card is asked for, and nothing is charged when the trial ends. After that, you can still dismiss, snooze, turn off and delete alarms; creating and editing alarms need a one-time purchase of $3.99 in US dollars (Google Play shows your local price, including tax). It is not a subscription. See the app page.

I reinstalled the app or changed phones. How do I get my purchase back?

The purchase belongs to the Google account that made it. Sign in to Google Play with that account, install the app, open it and, if it is still locked, choose Restore purchase in the app. There is no charge. If it does not restore, check that you are using the same Google account, make sure the phone has a connection for a moment, then reopen the app. Still stuck? Email us with your Google Play order number.

Can I get a refund?

Within 48 hours of buying, request it from Google Play: Google's steps are at Request a refund on Google Play. After 48 hours, email support@rejectedaltsstudios.com within 14 days of the purchase with your Google Play order number and we will consider it. Approved refunds go back through Google Play to the original payment method. The full wording is in the Terms.

Google Play charged me, but the purchase did not unlock

Give it a minute with a connection and reopen the app. If it is still locked, email us the order number from your Google Play receipt.

Bugs and ideas

Tell us what broke

A good bug report has four things: what you did, what you expected, what happened instead, and your phone model with its Android version. Screenshots help. Send it to support@rejectedaltsstudios.com. Feature ideas are welcome at the same address.
